Fisia Italimpianti realizes the design and construction of several types of industrial plants for production of water for domestic as well as industrial use.
The portfolio includes Municipal and Industrial Waste Water Treatment Plants, Potable Water Treatment Plants, Remineralization Plants, Water Injection Plants and Aquariums.
Fisia Italimpianti, by its internal design team of engineers experienced in all fields of Water Treatment, is capable to offer engineered solutions targeted to:
- optimize capital and operating costs
- maximize the reliability and the life of the plant
- reduce the environmental impact
In cooperation with Research Organizations and with the best Universities, the R&D department is studying new technologies for the improvement and the simplification of the water treatment processes.
Fisia Italimpianti has successfully accomplished the design and construction of many large WWTPs having in total the treatment capacity of more than 6,600,000 IE.
The Company can provide Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC/DB) of municipal or industrial wastewater treatment plants of both medium and large sizes with technologies developed to fit any specific environmental standards.
The main plant solutions adopted are:
- Chemical treatment
- Physical treatment
- Biological treatment
- Membrane treatment
Fisia Italimpianti’s treatment plants deliver water with adequate quality for human or industrial use.
The Company has the capabilities to treat water from surface basins (rivers, streams or lakes, springs) and deep basins (via the draining-off of wells).
The origin of the water determines its chemical/physical characteristics and therefore the treatment processes.
Fisia Italimpianti has successfully executed the design and construction of more than 10 large WTPs, with a total capacity of approximately 1,800,000 m3/d (400 MIGD) of potable water.
Fisia Italimpianti designed and constructed many large Remineralization Plants serving Desalination Plants, having in total the treatment capacity of more than 1,000 MIGD (4,400,000 m3/d) of potable water.
All desalination processes, either thermal or membrane based, produce water which must be post treated to reach necessary quality for human consumption.
The water quality after remineralization must ensure a well-balanced ionic concentration, pollutants levels compliance with what established by World Health Organization, and a water not degraded during the distribution process or corrosive for the pipe network.
The Company boasts a consolidated experience in three technologies for the remineralization of the distillate produced by desalination plants:
- Lime dissolution process
- Lime water process
- Injection of salts
