Vicenza Water Treatment Plant (Italy)

The work will hugely significant for the territory: it will infact serve approximately 300,000 people in Vicenza and nearby towns.
The project includes the detailed design, the clearance of unexploded ordnance of war, the execution of the works, the operation and maintenance of the plant for 48 months after commissioning.
The project will create approximately 300 new jobs (directly and indirectly).

According to the new system configuration of the new Casale plant:

• the water treatment line foresees a pre-treatment  section, an activated sludge biological treatment and secondary clarifiers, followed by a tertiary treatment with disc filters and UV disinfection;
• the sludge treatment line foresees a sludge accumulation section, dynamic thickening,  pre-dewatering, hydrolysis, anaerobic digestion, post-dewatering and drying.
