Water treatment process technologist

Position: Process Engineer Waste Water Treatment

The resource will be included in the Water Treatment and Desalination Process Engineering group and, interfacing with the various company functions, will operate as a reference Technologist/Process Engineer both in the offer phase and in the executive phase of the order. In particular, he/she will therefore be responsible for drafting/supervising: material balances, P&IDs, data sheets and technical specifications for the equipment.

He will also be required to:

  • manage and coordinate contacts with the main suppliers
  • coordinate, as far as he is concerned, the technical activity of the orders in the bid/execution phase by interfacing with all the disciplines involved
  • carry out and/or coordinate field activities during commissioning, start-up and performance testing of the plants.
     

Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering
  • 10 years of experience in water treatment
  • experience in staff coordination
  • good knowledge of Autocad and the main computer packages
  • availability for periods of travel also abroad
  • aptitude for teamwork and organizational and coordination skills of personnel
  • Result-oriented and flexible
  • good knowledge of English and any other foreign languages as desired

Required knowledge:

  • sizing of the main process phases for municipal water treatment plants (screening, sand removal, biological treatments for nutrient removal, disinfection, filtration and sludge treatment)
  • sizing of the main process phases for industrial wastewater treatment plants (chemical-physical treatments, sedimentation, filtration, etc.).
  • knowledge of biological plants with Activated Sludge, MBR, Alternating Cycles, etc...
  • hydraulic knowledge in the sizing of process lines (pressure and gravity) and lifting systems.
  • knowledge of the market for equipment normally used in the field of water treatment.
