Ghubrah 3 IWP

Client: Oman Power & Water Procurement (OPWP)

Located on the coast in the Gulf of Oman north of Muscat, Ghubrah 3 IWP will serve residents living near the capital.

The plant will use the reverse osmosis process to desalinate water from the sea and will have a production capacity of 300,000 cubic metres of water a day (66 MIGD).

Both Ghubrah 3 and Barka 5 IWP (the other RO desalination plant that Fisia will build in Oman) are expected to take three years to complete, with Ghubrah becoming the biggest plant in the sultanate once in operation.
